Hair oil is not good for you,but conditioning is.Follow these tips for healthy shining hair:

  • Hair should show lustre and must be conditioned.Long hair should be worn neatly, medium hair must be blow dried and short hair should be styled according to the face structure.
  • Color should always be in contrast to enhance features, for example, low light effects for light colored hair and highlights for dark hair.
  • Conditioning is as important as shampooing.It seeps through you hair, repairs it and provides nourishment.
  • Stay away from variants of oil.Water and oil don’t mix; hence one has to use excess shampoo to remove it, drying the hair excessively.In fact, oil makes the hair heavy and attracts dust particles.

Shampoos:

The right kind of shampoo depends on the hair type of the person.

  • Oily hair must be washed every day with a shampoo that has a clarifying agent.
  • Colored hair must be washed with a shampoo that has super-hydrating minerals, which restore lost nutrients.
  • Chemically treated hair should be washed every other day with a shampoo that does not have a Ph balance of over 7.5.Fruity fragrances attract dirt and bugs.
  • For frizzy hair, leave-in conditioners are a must along with a shine sealer serum.

Combing:

Avoid combs and use a brush.It is very important to brush your hair before retiring to bed, for five to 10 minutes.This will not only massage the scalp but also stimu;ate blood circulation and enhance hair growth.

People who use irons or dryers at home should be very careful.More heat means more damage and heating irons should not go over the temperature of 200-300 degree Celsius.Use dryers with high heat and low air blow.The maximum voltage should be 1400 to 1600 volts.
