Mantra To Regulate Breath

Swara Kriya Vigyan is an ancient Indian science which explains how the movements of prana(the cosmic life force) can be controlled by manipulation of the breathe.Swara etymologically means the velocity of sound of one’s own breathe.
Swara Kriya enables the practitioner to achieve a sate of union by regulation of his breath. The ancient Hindu text Shiva Samhita is the main source of recorded knowledge about it; Shiva is considered the supreme consciousness and is believed to have first expounded on Swara Kriya to goddess Parvati.
The knowledge of Swara Vigyan allows immense benefits to the practitioner. It can enable a person to develop his/her dormant powers and live in complete harmony with nature.
What is a Swara? There are channels for the flow of prana(the vital force) in the pranayam kosha called as are the major naadis. There are total 72 lakh naadis in a human body, in which ida(Chandra), pingla (swara) and sushum nanaadis.Ida is situated at the left side, pingla right side and sushumna is situated in between the two.In a person during inhalation, pranvayu or air enters through nostrils.Normally the flow is imbalanced, either the left nostril is more open or the right. The swaras are of 3 types-Surya, chandra and sushumns.
Surya Swara: If the right nostril is more open than the left and we inhale and exhale clearly through the right, it means the surya swara is activated, chandra is passive.
Chandra Swara: When left nostril is more open than the right one and we inhale and exhale more clearly through the left than the right one, it means chandra swara is active and surya is passive.
Sushumna Swara: Just for a short period of time, surya(right) and chandra(left) swaras are balanced and inhalation and exhalation through both are same and balanced. At this time the sushumna swara is being activated.
